This Fire Kit is small, compact, and easy to carry in your hiking gear or on your next hunt. The kit includes almost all forms of fire starter except a fire piston or bow drill type friction fires.
The kit includes:
wallet fresnel lens
lighter
a 5/16 x 1.75 inch Ferrocerium Rod
1095 high carbon steel w/ a piece of chert for striking sparks
9-12 pieces of charcloth enclosed in plastic to keep them waterproof
waxed Jute
5 waxed cotton fire plugs which will burn on average 7.5 minutes, if you wrap them in one layer of tinfoil they can burn up to 12 minutes.
With this kit, you should be able to make at least 12 to 15 fires.
